First published in 2014, the NIST(national Institute of Standards & Technology) Cybersecurity Framework(CSF) is a collection of standards, guidelines and best practices that can be leveraged by organizations to build and improve their cybersecurity posture and manage cybersecurity risk. Though it was developed with a focus on industries in key infrastructure – banking, communications, energy, to name a few – it has emerged as a go-to controls framework, regardless of size, nature of industry and location.
